About the Artist
Jenny Male (she/her/hers) is a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors and has served as the Fight Choreographer for such DC/Baltimore theatres as Arena Stage, Ford’s Theatre, Rep Stage, Constellation Theatre Company, Everyman Theatre, Factory 449, Washington Stage Guild, Adventure Theatre, Imagination Stage, and the Maryland Lyric Opera. Jenny is a certified Intimacy Director with Intimacy Directors & Coordinators and is Resident Fight & Intimacy Director for Rep Stage. In 2002, Jenny earned an MFA in Theatre Pedagogy with an emphasis in Movement & Fight Direction from Virginia Commonwealth University. Jenny is Associate Professor of Theatre at Howard Community College.

Certified Fight Teacher Jenny Male will teach you and your friends how to sword fight over Zoom using fun, foam pirate swords. This 30 minute session includes how to walk, talk, and fight like a pirate! (Participants may purchase foam swords here.)
