Are you interested in directing for the theater? Do you have an opportunity to direct in an academic setting, a community theater, or even a small professional theater? Could you use some guidance to be sure you are fully prepared? Come talk to me and let me help you make sure you have asked yourself the key questions and are ready to fully engage with your creative team, your actors, and your eventual audience. This is directing coaching that can be whatever you need it to be. Let me help you prepare to be the best director you can be.
I have been writing plays for more than 30 years, and have been reading them, thinking about how they function, and engaging with them for longer than that! There is no right way to write a play… there is only your unique, individual journey towards making your play the best version of itself. Let me help you by reading your play, offering thoughts and perspectives on how it can evolve, and then assist you in taking it further down its own particular path. I am here to help you and your play grow, mature and improve in any way I can.
