Usher Frequently Asked Questions
How do I reschedule an usher assigned date?
To exchange your usher assignment, please visit the My Account page. Login to your account and click "Exchange". Select the date of the show you would like to be removed from. Then, select the date of the show you would like to exchange into. Once you have successfully changed your usher date, you will receive a confirmation email from info@arenastage.org. To view all performances, click "View More" at the bottom of the screen. You can also email usher@arenastage.org or call the Usher Hotline at 202-600-4153.
How can I cancel an usher shift?
To cancel your usher assignment, please email usher@arenastage.org at least 24 hours prior to your shift. If it is within 24 hours of your shift please call the usher hotline at 202-600-4153.
How can I add a show to my ushering schedule?
To add a show to your schedule, please email usher@arenastage.org with your request or click the "Add a Shift" button on the Usher Information page.
How do I get to Arena Stage?
Due to the opening of the Wharf and increased traffic in the area, getting to Arena Stage and locating parking may take more time than usual. Please allow extra time for travel. You can park in the Arena Stage garage under the building for a special Usher parking rate of $18, if you reserve in advance (based on availability). Advance reservations end 3 hours prior to the scheduled curtain time.
The 4th Street garage, located at 1101 4th Street SW is another convenient option. Parking validation for weekday matinee ushers is available at the Visitor Services Desk before and after the show. A chaser ticket will be given, which will reduce your fee to $15. On the weekends and evenings, the reduced rate of $15 is automatically offered.
Metro: The Waterfront station, on the Green line, is located one block East of Arena Stage at 4th and M Streets. The 74 and P6 buses stop nearby.
