Arena Stage offers accessibility services (ASL interpretation, audio description, closed captioning, large-print and braille programs) for select performances. Additionally, assistive listening devices (ALDs) are available at our Visitors Services desk for all performances.

Patrons can pre-purchase parking in our on-site parking garage (entrance located at 677 Maine Avenue SW) or find nearby street parking.

If you have pre-purchased parking in our on-site garage, the name on your confirmation email will be on the parking attendants' list; no physical parking pass is required.

You will need to create an online account with our parking vendor Metropolis to utilize our parking garage.

The closest Metro stop is the Waterfront station on the Green Line. The closest bus stops are located at the intersection of M Street SW & 6th Street SW. Please visit our Transportation & Parking page for more information.

If you arrive after your performance’s scheduled start time, our House Managers will seat you at their discretion. You may need to wait for an appropriate late-seating break to avoid disrupting the performance. You may not be seated in your ticketed seat until an appropriate break or intermission.

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your scheduled showtime. The Margot Kelly Grand Lobby opens two hours before each performance for your enjoyment. 

Children under 5 are not permitted at most Arena Stage performances unless otherwise noted. Arena Stage does not specify additional age restrictions for our productions, and attendance is at the discretion of a child’s parent or guardian. Every person, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the theater.

The only verified third-party seller of Arena Stage tickets is TodayTix. All other tickets to Arena Stage performances should be purchased directly through arenastage.org anytime or 202-488-3300, Tuesday–Sunday, 12–6pm. Tickets purchased on other sites will not allow entry into the theater. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact info@arenastage.org.

If a performance is cancelled, patrons will be contacted via phone, email, and/or text as soon as a decision is made. Postings will also be made on arenastage.org

Arena Stage does not have an official dress code, and patrons are encouraged to dress however they feel most comfortable. We do recommend that you dress in layers, as the temperature in our theaters can fluctuate.

Coat and bag check is available for your convenience at our Visitors Services desk in the Bank of America Lower Lobby. A small fee is charged for coat and bag check items. Guests may be asked to check larger bags that do not fit under theater seats.

Arena Stage does offer gift certificates for purchase. Please call the Sales Office at 202-488-3300, Tuesday–Sunday, 12–6pm to order.

Once your ticket package has been fully processed, you can view your performance dates through your Arena Stage Online Account on the Arena Stage website.

If you would like physical tickets held at Will Call, there is a $2.50 per ticket printing fee.

You can either select Mail as your Delivery Method when placing your order online, or contact our Sales Office, at 202-488-3300, Tuesday–Sunday, 12–6pm, and request that your tickets be mailed. There is a $15 per subscription package mailing fee.

Full-Season Subscribers may exchange ticket(s) to another performance of the same production, without paying any exchange fees, if the exchange request is made at least 24 hours before their scheduled performance.

• Exchanges into a higher-priced performance or seating area require payment of the upgrade amount at the time of the exchange. Refunds are not given for exchanges into lower-priced performances. 
• Ticket exchanges requested within 24 hours of your scheduled performance will incur a $25 per ticket exchange fee.

Ticket package holders who cannot attend their performance can either exchange their ticket(s) to a new date or donate the monetary value of their ticket(s) to Arena Stage as a tax-deductible donation. Please consult our ticket exchange policy above for more information.

Full-Season Subscribers enjoy the benefit of Ticket Insurance included with their package. If you miss your performance and need to reschedule, call the Sales Office at 202-488-3300, Tuesday–Sunday, 12–6pm. There is a Ticket Insurance Deductible of $5 per ticket that will need to be paid on rescheduled tickets for missed performances.

Tickets can be purchased through our website at tickets.arenastage.org, by calling the Sales Office at 202-488-3300, Tuesday–Sunday, 12– 6pm, or by visiting our Box Office in person two hours prior to a performance.  

All ticket purchases will incur a handling fee that goes towards the processing and handling of your tickets, as well as a facility fee to support our operations and the work we do on and off stage as a non-profit theater company.

Arena Stage is proud to offer a number of accessible ticket programs. For more information, please visit our Savings Programs page. Discounts cannot be combined and are not valid on previously purchased tickets.

We offer a limited number of rush tickets (formerly known as HOTTIX) for most performances. Rush tickets for plays are $35 on weekdays and $45 on weekends. Rush tickets for musicals are $45 on weekdays and $55 on weekends. More information can be found on our Savings Programs page.

• Ticket exchanges requested within 24 hours of your scheduled performance will incur a $25 per ticket exchange fee instead.  
  • Exchanges into a higher-priced performance or seating area require payment of the upgrade amount at the time of the exchange. Refunds are not given for exchanges into lower-priced performances.  
• Retroactive Ticket Insurance may be added to your ticket order before your performance has taken place.

If you miss your performance and have purchased Ticket Insurance, you can reschedule by contacting the Sales Office at 202-488-3300, Tuesday–Sunday, 12–6pm, and paying a $25 per ticket Missed Show Deductible, plus any difference in cost if you move into a higher priced performance date or seating section.  

If you miss your show and have not purchased Ticket Insurance, you will need to purchase a new full price ticket.
