Anno Della Cultura ItalianaArena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater
Exhibit runs until December 29, 2013

During the run of Maurice Hines is Tappin’ Thru Life, on the occasion of 2013 - The Year of Italian Culture in the United States, the Mead Center’s lobbies will be graced by an exclusive collection of haute couture garments and accessories on loan from the Italian Embassy.

This special Living Lobby display is inspired by Maurice Hines’ desire to honor his late brother Gregory, and their mutual love of fashion. Gregory’s favorite suit was a design by Giorgio Armani, and this special collection of artfully tailored pieces includes items from that designer, among many others. No ticket necessary.

Open Tap Auditions
Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater
Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Arena Stage was recently filled with the pitter-patter of little feet. Actually, more like the clickety-clack of little feet. Maurice Hines held open auditions on October 11 to find a new, young tap dancer, to join him and the Manzari Brothers onstage for a featured number in Maurice Hines is Tappin’ Thru Life. Two lucky winners were actually chosen: 13-year old twin brothers Max and Sam Heimowitz. Read more about them here.
