Camp Arena Stage, Arena Stage’s multi-arts summer day camp for youth ages 8 to 15, seeks warm, energetic and creative accompanists to help provide a summer of unforgettable arts experiences for campers. Camp Arena Stage encourages the spirited pursuit of knowledge, self-discovery and joy through the arts, while providing the young campers a fun and safe environment in which to explore the world. The 4-week session culminates in an Arts Extravaganza with exhibits and performances showcasing the campers’ work.
Accompanists play piano for the vocal performance and musical theater classes, which are planned and taught by an instructor. Accompanists also accompany camper and staff performances at the daily Noontime Show. Accompanists serve as group leaders for a small group of campers and participate fully in all camp events.
Sight reading is a must; familiarity with popular vocal repertoire is preferred.
If you love to work with kids, love the arts and would like an association with one of the country’s leading regional theaters, consider a summer at Camp Arena Stage.
